As a proud part of the Houston business community, ExecuTeam Staffing is committed to giving back to the Greater Houston area. Our team is excited to have supported Girls Incorporated of Greater Houston during their Seventh Annual Be Bold Margarita Competition.[1] Our Team gathered together, with many other supporters, to raise funds and awareness for this great organization. Our driven staff believes collectively we can bring about important changes in the lives of those around us. And, of course, we don’t mind having a little fun after work while do it!
Girls Inc. is a non-profit organization which is dedicated to improving the education and career prospects for girls and young women. They do this by providing educational outreach throughout the Houston area. A number of schools in the Greater Houston area are partnered with Girls Inc. to provide “programs [which] are designed to empower girls and young women ages 6 to 18 by enabling them to learn new information, acquire and develop skills, build self-confidence and, in all phases of their involvement, have fun.”[2]
For the Be Bold Margarita Competition, our team submitted a recipe for margaritas and hosted a booth serving margaritas for the event. Although a light-hearted event, we take our commitment to the girls and young women of Houston seriously. Jennifer Stevenson, one of our new recruiters, was excited to attend this event with her teammates: “What a great opportunity to be a positive building block for Girls Inc. This event shines with vision and confidence. I knew right away I wanted to be a part of it!”
As designated by Houston Business Journal, ExecuTeam Staffing is one of the Top 50 Woman-Owned Businesses in the area. By supporting girls and young women in our community now, ExecuTeam hopes to enhance the career opportunities of the future generation and bolster the job market. Our founder Anne Flournoy believes strongly in this cause: “As a woman business owner it is very important that our company supports organizations such as Girls Inc. This organization has many different programs for young girls to learn how to become strong women through a variety of programs offered to build confidence, encourage education, live healthy and safe lives, and many more specific programs geared for developing successful, happy lives. Our youth is our future and strong women are our future. Starting young is the answer!”
